At NCC, our goal is to help producers efficiently and effectively use critical crop nutrients while optimizing yields and minimizing environmental impact. Working in tandem with the 4R Nutrient Stewardship Program, we provide innovative approaches and stewardship programs to better manage nutrients and inputs.
The 4R Nutrient Stewardship Program is an innovative approach to fertilizer management practices. The focus of the program is to help growers identify the right source of nutrients to be used at the right time, at the right rate and in the right place. Adopting these principles through the agronomy recommendations at NCC maximizes growers’ input efficiency and reduces environmental impact due to nutrient excess and potential runoff.
The agronomy experts consider nutrient uptake and pair with appropriate nitrogen solutions programs. Through this nitrogen management approach, growers can estimate the amount of available nitrogen in the soil and predict the levels of nutrients available for crop uptake. The program also helps indicate which form and location may be best suited for additional nitrogen application.
Growers interested in learning more about the 4R Nutrient Stewardship Program or nitrogen management can contact their local NCC location or Jim Sprowl, agronomy account relationship manager, at 260-410-7208.
