New Feed Manufacturing Project Is Underway
North Central Co-op is building a new feed mill in White Cloud, Michigan. The new mill will be located in the White Cloud Industrial Park near the airport and Pere Marquette Railroad. Excavation has already begun, and construction is scheduled to start in October.
“After researching feed delivery and manufacturing constraints for all customers, we found that we can service the majority of our customers with greater efficiency, and this new mill will allow us to do just that,” said NCC Michigan Region Manager Martin Hall.
The new feed mill will allow NCC to meet current and future member needs while driving operational efficiencies, improving quality control and enhancing biosecurity. The new White Cloud feed mill will be open for all bulk and bag product manufacturing and receiving clean, dry corn.
NCC is building the new feed mill in the White Cloud Industrial Park due to the location’s pre-existing road and utilities, as well as the location’s rail service capacity and wooded surroundings. The new feed mill facility is expected to be completed and fully operational in late 2017.
